In Vietnam, management of wildlife diseases has garnered attention from both the State and the public. This is evident through a comprehensive system of regulations addressing diseases that can be transmitted from wildlife to humans spanning a range of documents, from laws to decrees and circulars. However, despite these efforts, the practical implementation of wildlife disease management still encounters numerous challenges and shortcomings.
Training workshop “Business engagement for sustainable development”
On June 21-22, 2018 in Da Nang, Viet Nam, PanNature in collaboration with The International Union for Conservation of Nature Netherlands (IUCN NL), organized the “Business Engagement training to promote Sustainable Development”.
The training aims at supporting organizations that are working in social forestry and sustainable development fields by enhancing their knowledge and skills in developing partnerships and engagement with business sector while promoting natural resources conservation and monitoring in business practices and policies. This workshop offers an opportunity for participants from state agencies, local enterprises, co-operatives, forest owners, associations and ASEAN civil society organizations to discuss and work in groups so that they interact and have their capacity in strategy planing strengthened to solve existing problems.
This is a side event in a series of international conferences take place in Da Nang this June, including the 7th ASEAN CSO Forum on Social Forestry and the Global Environment Fund (GEF).
