Less than three months after the initiative was launched on World Environment Day (June 5) this year, the project achieved its goal of planting 25 out of the total 50 hectares planned.
Workshop “Strengthening Policies and Financing for Sustainable Development of Longer Rotation Forest Plantation in Vietnam”
On June 23-24, PanNature collaborated with International Union for Conservation of Nature Netherlands (IUCN NL), organized workshop “Strengthening Policies and Financing for Sustainable Development of Longer Rotation Forest Plantation in Vietnam”.
The workshop has created a forum among enterprises, investors, forest plantation households, experts and governance agencies to identify challenges and propose policies on investment and finance support for developing large timber and longer rotation forest plantation in Vietnam, aiming at economically and environmentally sustainable forest landscape development.
On June 24th, the delegates visited a forest plantation household in Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang province.
