In Vietnam, management of wildlife diseases has garnered attention from both the State and the public. This is evident through a comprehensive system of regulations addressing diseases that can be transmitted from wildlife to humans spanning a range of documents, from laws to decrees and circulars. However, despite these efforts, the practical implementation of wildlife disease management still encounters numerous challenges and shortcomings.
Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuy resigns from the position of Deputy Director
PanNature’s Deputy Director, Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuy, has resigned from the position of Deputy Director since the beginning of 2021 after a long time of dedicating to the organization.
Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuy is one of those involved in the founding and development of PanNature after working on several nature conservation projects and programs in Vietnam.
At PanNature, he holds the position of Deputy Director in charge of field activities related to forestry and nature conservation. In this position, he has contributed to PanNature’s programs on community forestry development, forest co-management, and promoting the participation of all stakeholders in FLEGT implementation, REDD +, and community-managed protected area initiatives in Vietnam.
Under Mr. Thuy’s leadership, many of PanNature’s forestry programs have been highly appreciated by partners, governmental agencies, local authorities, and communities.
The PanNature team is grateful for his contribution to the foundation and development of the organization in recent years.
