Every Dong Matters: It’s time the Vietnamese public joined hands for the conservation of nature.

With the widespread of the Internet, mobile applications, and online banking, online donation is now quite convenient for many Vietnamese. Several local companies have pioneered in developing platforms for online donation for domestic customers. PanNature has received great support from major local platforms to pilot online crow fundraising, including Momo, GiveNow, and ThienNguyen (a service of the Military Bank). 


Following the success of the forest restoration campaign in May 2023, we continue to work with Momo to raise funds for the program “Reducing Firewood to Preserve the Forest – joining hands to build 200 improved stoves for the Mong people in Van Ho commune” to assist the Mong community in three villages near the forest in Van Ho commune in reducing their use of firewood for cooking, thereby contributing to the preservation of the natural forest in the Hoa Binh – Son La limestone corridor. The goal is to raise 300,000,000 VND (about 12,300 US dollars) to fund the construction of 200 enhanced cookstoves for 200 homes. Tien Hai reserve saved from development in win for nature in Vietnam

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision this month to fully retain Tien Hai Nature Reserve, in a rare example of environmental protection winning over development in the Southeast Asian country. Located in the northern coastal province of Thai Binh, the reserve gained attention in 2023 after the provincial government announced a plan to remove protection from almost 90% of the area. This would have reduced the reserve area from 12,500 to 1,230 hectares (nearly 31,000 to just over 3,000 acres) to open up space for a proposed residential, resort and golf course complex called the Con Vanh Ecological Urban Area.

Vietnam Airlines took part in SkyTeam’s The Aviation Challenge

On the special flight, Vietnam Airlines conducted various activities to raise awareness and promote environmental protection among passengers. The passengers were also presented with a special gift: a plush toy representing the critically endangered white-cheeked gibbon (Nomascus leucogenys) - one of the world’s rarest primate species. This gesture aligns with the "Contribute Leaves to the Forests - For a Green and Sustainable Vietnam" campaign.
