In early September, PanNature joined representatives from six countries across Southeast Asia and China for the CEPF Communication Training, an inspiring event focused on enhancing conservation outreach. Over five days, participants explored the A-M-T Communication Framework, a practical tool for identifying audiences, crafting impactful messages, and selecting effective communication methods. Through hands-on exercises and collaborative discussions, the training sparked new ideas for engaging communities and amplifying the stories of conservation. For PanNature, it was a chance to learn, share experiences, and strengthen connections with regional partners, reaffirming the importance of communication in driving environmental change. |

Dak Lak Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company (Dakruco) has achieved a major milestone in sustainable forestry by earning FSC FM (Forest Management) and FSC CoC (Chain of Custody) certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for over 1,100 hectares of rubber forest. This achievement reflects years of dedicated effort by Dakruco, with PanNature as a key partner providing technical support through the Green Livelihoods Alliance project. Together, we worked to integrate environmentally responsible forestry practices, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability. By implementing rigorous cultivation and management processes, this collaboration has set a new standard in Vietnam’s rubber industry, balancing ecological preservation with operational transparency and paving the way for more sustainable practices in the sector. |

Strengthening Partnerships for Forest and Community Progress
|
| |
On October 1-2, 2024, PanNature joined partners NTFP-EP Asia Vietnam and Tropenbos Vietnam in Quy Nhơn for the annual review of the Green Livelihoods Alliance (GLA) 2.0 programme. The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in 2024, evaluate challenges, and exchange valuable insights from initiatives implemented across various regions in Vietnam.
Through open discussions, the partners identified effective strategies in sustainable forest management, community-based conservation, and green livelihood development while addressing obstacles encountered during the year. This collaborative process strengthened the partnership’s collective understanding of the programme’s impact and laid the groundwork for its final year in 2025.
As GLA 2.0 enters its crucial phase, PanNature and its partners are committed to advancing coordinated efforts that balance environmental conservation with community development. Together, the alliance strives to deliver lasting benefits for both nature and local communities in Vietnam. |
